Four Days of Camping & Affordable Family Fun for All Ages

Come to the gateway of the beautiful Litchfield Hills in Terryville, Connecticut and experience a fun weekend of family camping and entertainment for the Columbus Day weekend at a minimal expense. The Terryville Lions Club has 50 acres of spacious hilltop fields which will be ablaze in color. The weekend will include entertainment and activities that appeal to all ages.


All proceeds from the event will be used to support a variety of Lions Charities including Fidelco Guide Dogs, services for sight or hearing impaired individuals and scholarships.


Camping amenities include: water and electric hook-up, hot showers and large public restroom, food canteen, dump station, and wireless high speed internet access. Water and electricity are available on a first come, first serve basis.


Pets are welcomed provided they are up to date on vaccinations and are leashed at all times.

Planned Camping Activities

At our Campout we offer several activities (subject to change) throughout the weekend including bocce, campfires, scavenger hunt, pet parade, poker run and a raffle.

Food Offerings

We offer optional dinners for an extra charge and reservations are required at the time of your registration.


  • Saturday, October 12th: Pulled pork dinner. Includes sides and dessert.

  • Sunday, October 13th: Chicken BBQ dinner. Includes sides and dessert.

Directions to the Terryville Fairgrounds


The Terryville Fairgrounds is located on Town Hill Road in Terryville, CT.


From Hartford takeI-84 west to exit 38. Follow route 6 west approximately 13 miles. Turn left onto Town Hill Road. The Fairgrounds will be about 1 mile on the left.


From Waterbury take CT-8 north to exit 39. Turn right onto Scott Road. Merge left onto Washington Road. The Fairgrounds will be on the corner.


From Torrington take CT-8 south to exit 39. Turn left onto route 6. Turn right onto Scott Road. Merge left onto Washington Road. The Fairgrounds will be on the corner.


One unit per registration. Includes 4 days (October 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th) and 3 nights (night of the 11th, 12th, 13th). Early arrival optional.
