Chartered in 1941, the Terryville Lions Club is a service organization located in Terryville, Connecticut. The Club and its members are part of the world's largest and most active service organization, The International Association of Lions Clubs. The Terryville Lions Club and its members are very active in the local community, as well as on the state and national levels.

Lions are people who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local, regional, and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, Lions strive to help those in need, wherever need exists. Every Lion is dedicated to community service and improvement.

In Loving Memory

The Terryville Lions Club mourns the loss of Past District Governor, Lion Leonard “Len” Johnson who passed away on August 6, 2022. Lion Len joined the Terryville Lions Club in 1962 and was very active locally, as well as the district and state levels. Len held numerous leadership roles and Board of Directors positions for over 20 years. He was a Life Member, served on the District 23B Cabinet in various positions and had the honor of serving as 23B District Governor. Len loved helping with the delivery of Christmas baskets and the Santa Display in Baldwin Park. He spent many years working at the Terryville Country Fair and helping maintain the Terryville Fairgrounds. In addition to his service with the Terryville Lions Club, Len served as a member of the Army Reserves as a Supply Sergeant. Len’s 60 years of service to our organization will never be forgotten and he will be deeply missed. Click here to view the full obituary for Lion Len.

Sign on the Green

The Terryville Lions Club owns and maintains the sign on the town owned property located on the Green at the corner of Main Street and North Main Street. The sign is used to post information for special events occurring in town. Click here for more information and to submit a posting request.

The Terryville Lions Club has been a long time supporter of the Plymouth Community Food Pantry. They are in need of the following items:

Cereal (chindren flavors), canned raviloi/spaghettios, spaghetti sauce, ramen noodles, crushed tomatoes, baking supplies, laundry detergent, baked beans, boxed potatoes, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, adult diapers (large), ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing, dog & cat food
